We are more than busy continuing to gear up for the 53rd Annual Steam Threshing Jamboree featuring the Ford-Ferguson Tractors, Trucks & Cars that is coming very soon on August 27, 28, 29 & 30. The complete schedule of events and other related information can be found on our website at prairievillage.org/jamboree, or it can be picked up at the gift shop, or mailed upon request.

Our dinner train is always a popular event at the Jamboree. A four course meal will be catered by Dakota State University Dining Services on Friday and Saturday evenings, August 28 and 29. Reservations are required and tickets are $25 single, $40 a couple, and $14 age 12 and under. Call us at 256-3644 or e-mail info@prairievillage.org to make reservations for the dinner train.

Our priority is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our visitors, especially during the Jamboree. To assist in that, several vehicle related procedures will continue to be in effect. All ATVs are strictly prohibited as are dirt bikes and motor scooters. Medical scooters are allowed. Golf carts and side by sides are allowed with a registration fee of $20.

Golf cart rental is available through NB Golf Cars of Hendricks, MN and reservations can be made by contacting them at 507-275-3564. They will also have additional first-come first-served golf carts available on site in an area just outside our exhibitor (vehicle) gate. Rented golf carts are required to be turned back in by 8:00 p.m. daily. Privately owned golf carts are welcome with the $20 registration fee.

If you want to get your golf cart or side by side registration tag early, or 4-day admission wristband, they are available now at the gift shop.

Among the many Jamboree activities, the tractor pulls continue to increase in popularity and we have four on the schedule. The Great Plains Season Championship is on Friday night of the Jamboree and the big Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pullers Association event that was here last year for the second time will be back again on Saturday night.

There are a wide variety of great activities to be enjoyed at the Jamboree. Our featured evening entertainment in the opera house on Friday evening is The Honky Tonk Stardust Cowboys and on Saturday it will be the Larry Olsen Polka Band.

Due to Jamboree campers coming in to their reserved electrical camp sites, we will not be able to accommodate public electrical site camping starting Saturday the 22nd. Our normal camping operations will resume after the Jamboree and continue into early October.
