It’s going to be another very busy weekend at the village. We have the Johnny Rogers Country Legends concert tonight and his History of Rock and Roll concert tomorrow night. We will also have a family reunion and a Madison high school class reunion at the village this weekend. And then there is the car show on Sunday.

Speaking of Sunday, we have church services every Sunday at 8:00 a.m. from June through August at the Prairie Village church in the northwest part of the grounds. The public is always welcome and encouraged to attend the church services.

We still have a few tickets available for both of the Johnny Rogers concerts. To obtain tickets call Bev Mader at 480-2633, stop in at the village gift shop, or there is a possibility that a few might be available at the door. Johnny Rogers has performed for four US presidents and has been voted as one of the top shows in Branson. Both of his performances this weekend in the opera house will no doubt be high quality entertainment.

The 22nd Annual Madison Car Show on Sunday is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a great opportunity for car, pickup and motorcycle owners to show those special vehicles, and for the public to see the many nicely preserved and restored classics of yesteryear. Pre-registration of show vehicles is $10, or $15 at the event. General admission is $6 for adults, $2 age 6-12, or a Prairie Village season pass. Complete details and the registration form is on our website at prairievillage.org/madison-car-show, and at the gift shop.

The August 27-30 Jamboree will be here soon and the feature this year is Ford-Ferguson tractors, trucks and cars. Although all of the electrical camp sites have been reserved for many months, we accommodate everyone that comes if can do without electricity, and generators are welcome. No reservations are required or taken, just come to the vehicle gate. Last year 136 campers took advantage of this opportunity.
