PRAIRIE VILLAGE NEWS 7/25/2014

Stan Rauch, Manager

We are pleased to provide the venue for a major portion of the Madison School Reunion activities that will be at the village on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The organizers have most certainly put together an impressive schedule of events. Reunion attendees will enter through the northeast gate while our other visitors and volunteers will come through the gift shop gate.

As noted previously, the Buddy Holly and Beyond Review is coming to the opera house on August 2nd. This is a tribute to the music of the 50s and 60s and is performed by Johnny Rogers and his band from Chicago. It will be the music of Buddy Holly, Elvis, Ritchie Valens, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and other music legends. Johnny Rogers has played for four US presidents and in 2009 and 2010 was nominated as the best show in Branson.

Tickets for this concert are $25 and can be obtained through the mail at Prairie Village, PO Box 256, Madison, SD 57042, or by calling the PV office at 256-3644 to purchase with a Visa or Mastercard, or they are available at the gift shop. Bev Mader is the event coordinator for what promises to be an outstanding concert and she has tickets also, phone 480-2633. Prairie Village season passes are not accepted for admission to this special event.

The 21st Annual Madison Car Show will be here at the village on Sunday, August 3rd. This is a great opportunity for car, pickup and motorcycle owners to show those special vehicles, and for the public to see the many nicely preserved and restored classics of yesteryear. Pre-registration of show vehicles is $10, or $15 at the event. Complete details and the registration form is on our website at prairievillage.org/madison-car-show/, or at the gift shop.
