We certainly had a successful and enjoyable Northern Bull Riding Tour event last Friday evening with a record crowd of about a thousand on hand to take in the bull riding excitement. With the unsettled weather just prior to Friday we were thankful that it was favorable for the event.
In conjunction with the bull ride, the Chamber of Commerce’s Ag Committee, as part of its Ag Appreciation initiative, provides bull ride event tickets to area ag producers. This year there were a record 337 adult ag producer tickets turned in at the admission gate, an all-time high number. Plus new this year were kids ag producer tickets of which there were 71. We greatly appreciate the Ag Committee’s direct assistance with the bull ride event.
Big thanks to our many sponsors that make it possible for us to bring the Northern Bull Riding tour to the Madison area. A special thank you ad was published earlier this week in the Daily Leader.
We have another big event coming right up as the second annual Prairie Village Variety Show will be held in the opera house this Sunday evening at 7:00 pm. This promises to be a fun and entertaining event as there will be 11 individual performers and groups showcasing their talent.
Admission to the Variety Show is $6 for adults, $2 for age 6-12 and free for age 5 and under. Prairie Village season passes honored.
We are having a big camping season at the village and we will have a large number of campers here over the 4th of July weekend. But we still have plenty of electrical camp sites available for that holiday weekend.
