Our consignment auction last Saturday was certainly a big success. We had a record high 392 bid card holders in attendance to purchase the large number of items that were consigned by 97 individuals, organizations and companies. With the intermittent rainy weather recently we were very fortunate to have a good day for the auction. Thanks to all who were consigners and buyers. Special thanks to our volunteer auctioneers – Wayne Bessman, Rick Becker, Chip Wosje and Terry Brick.

With the camping season upon us it is a good time to reiterate that we do have excellent camping facilities here at Prairie Village. There are 234 electrical sites at $18 per night and non-electrical sites at $15 nightly. We will be adding 32 new electrical camp sites later this summer in time for the Jamboree.

Camping reservations are not normally required except for the Jamboree as we never fill up at any other time during the season. If there is a group of camping units wanting to be next to each other then it is advisable to contact us so we can reserve the desired adjacent sites.

Prairie Village season passes at $30 for adults and $7 age 6-12 are a big money saver as they represent over $74 in purchase power. They are good for an unlimited number of daily admissions in addition to a train ride, carousel ride and admission to all Prairie Village sponsored events. Associate memberships are available at $70 which includes a recognition certificate and two season passes that are transferable to anyone.

Associate memberships are popular due to the season pass transfer feature as they can be given or loaned to family, friends, employees, etc. New this year is that associate memberships entitle the pass holders to attend the Prairie Village board of directors’ free appreciation supper on August 21 in conjunction with the Jamboree.
