Make plans now to attend and be part of this huge Prairie Village event. It’s three and a half big days featuring parades, the largest flea market in the area, steam and horse threshing, machinery demonstrations, truck and tractor pulls, train and carousel rides, free musical entertainment, exhibits, food and family fun.

Admission wristbands may only be purchased at the gate upon arrival.  There are no advance sales or distribution.  Jamboree daily admission: adults – $14 Thursday, Friday, & Sunday; $18 Saturday; ages 6-12 – $4 daily; ages 5 and under – free.  Jamboree 4-day pass: adults – $45; ages 6-12 – $10.  Exhibitors and vendors 4-day pass: $10.   All Jamboree admission free with current Prairie Village season pass.

All electrical camp sites for the 61st Annual Jamboree have been reserved. We accommodate all additional campers if they desire to camp without electricity (dry lot). No reservations are required for the dry lot area and generators are welcome in that area only. Click here to see details of camping and lodging options.

Notice to Jamboree campers who have changed addresses:  If you have recently camped with us during Jamboree, or if you submitted a Jamboree campsite request form during our last Jamboree, you need to contact us immediately with any changes to your mailing and contact information.  A number of 2021 Jamboree camping forms we mailed out were returned to us by the postal service with no forwarding information.  If you do not provide timely and accurate change of address/contact information, the Jamboree campsite may be offered to another party.  Contact us at: info@prairievillage.org., or PO Box 256, Madison, SD 57042, or 605-256-3644.

Golf cart rentals will be available during Jamboree until the supply is exhausted, beginning at noon on Thursday. Payment for rentals must be cash or check only – no credit cards. A $25 Prairie Village registration fee will be payable separately at the gate with admission. For information regarding rental reservations, call Brian at 605-595-8985.

Thursday, August 22 at 4:30: Board of Directors Appreciation Supper free for all Jamboree exhibitors, vendors and volunteers. Judging of the pie contest will take place at 3:30, prior to the appreciation dinner.

VEHICLE TRAFFIC. During the Jamboree, the highest density of vehicle traffic on SD Hwy 34 coming into the Prairie Village parking area will likely be between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the Friday and Saturday of Jamboree.

All side by sides/UTVs, 4-wheelers/ATVs, dirt bikes, motor scooters and hoverboards ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Medical scooters are ok. GOLF CARTS ARE ALLOWED WITH A REGISTRATION FEE OF $25, but must be in a safe operating condition, be equipped with and utilize working headlights after dusk, clearly display the Prairie Village issued ID tag at all times, and be operated with due regard and according to all additional rules listed below:

*No person under the age of 16 is permitted to drive a motor vehicle (including golf carts) on the Prairie Village grounds, with only one exception: Young driver’s training will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday of the Jamboree. The completion of this training allows young persons under 16 to drive tractors during and within the Jamboree parades and tractor pulls ONLY. The training location is just south of the Electric Museum on the east end of machinery row. 

*All motorized vehicles – including golf carts – must obey the grounds speed limit of 5 mph and be operated with care and due regard.  Operators must be at least 16 years of age and possess a current driver’s license.  Operators of any motorized vehicles must not drive while consuming – or while under the influence of – alcohol or other performance altering substances.  Vehicles are allowed only on established roads within the immediate historic building and camping areas and within campsites.  All other areas (such as railroad right-of-way, grain/hay fields, etc) are prohibited.  Campers’ personal vehicles may not be parked on/in other campsites, even if vacant.  Side by sides, 4-wheelers. dirt bikes and motor scooters/hoverboards are prohibited on Prairie Village property.  

Pets are welcome at Prairie Village but must be on a leash and kept under control at all times. Pets (except for official service animals) are not allowed in buildings, and owners must pick up after their pet. All appropriate immunizations must be current and documented.

Smoking is not allowed inside or within 25 feet of buildings, the carousel, and railroad equipment. 

   Fireworks of all kinds are prohibited on Prairie Village property.

Drone flying is prohibited unless specifically approved by management.

Our priority is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our visitors. To directly assist in accomplishing that, the following Grounds Safety Rules and Exhibitor Show Rules apply.
