2016 Jamboree Schedule of Events and 2016 Jamboree Poster. Make plans now to attend and be part of this huge Prairie Village event. It’s three big days featuring parades, the largest flea market in the area, steam and horse threshing, machinery demonstrations, tractor pulls, train and carousel rides, free musical entertainment, exhibits, food and family fun.

Jamboree Admission: Adults $10 daily except $12 Saturday, age 6-12 – $2, age 5 and under free. Jamboree 4-day pass – $30 or free with Prairie Village season pass. Exhibitors and vendors Jamboree 4-day pass – $7 or free with season pass. Age 6-12 4-day pass $5.

All electrical camp sites for the 54th Annual Jamboree are already reserved but contact us to be placed on the standby list. We accommodate all that come if desire to camp without electricity (dry lot). No Reservations are required and generators are welcome. Last year 168 campers took advantage of this opportunity. Our previous golf cart vendor announced suddenly they would not be returning this year. We have secured a business to provide a limited number of rental golf carts for this year’s Jamboree. Rentals will be available, until the supply is exhausted, beginning at noon on Thursday. Payment for rentals must be cash or check only – no credit cards. A $20 Prairie Village registration fee will be payable separately at the gate with admission. For information regarding rental reservations, call Brian at 605-595-8985.

Thursday, August 25 at 4:30: Board of Directors Appreciation Supper free for all Jamboree exhibitors, vendors and volunteers. Judging of the pie contest will take place prior to the appreciation dinner.

Our dinner train will be serving a four course meal catered by Royal Fork on Friday evening, leaving the depot at 6 pm. The Saturday dinner train has been cancelled. Reservations are required – $25 single, $40 a couple, $14 age 12 and under. Call the Prairie Village office at 605-256-3644 or 800-693-3644 to make reservations.

The Massey Expo banquet will be held Saturday evening, August 27 at 5:30 pm at Nicky’s in Madison. Print the registration form and mail or email it as noted on the form if you wish to attend.

No person under the age of 16 is permitted to drive a motor vehicle on the Prairie Village grounds, with one exception. Young driver’s training will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday of the Jamboree. The completion of this training allows young persons under 16 to drive tractors during the Jamboree parades and tractor pulls ONLY. The training location is just south of the Electric Museum on the east end of machinery row.

VEHICLE TRAFFIC. During the Jamboree, the highest density of vehicle traffic on SD Hwy 34 coming into the Prairie Village parking area will likely be between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the Jamboree.
