All electrical camp sites for the 51st Annual Jamboree are already reserved but contact us to be placed on the standby list. Our dinner train will be serving a four course meal catered by Dakota State University Dining Services on Friday and Saturday evenings, reservations required – $20 individual, $36 a couple, $14 age 12 and under if reserved by August 15, 2012. No person under the age of 16 is permitted to drive a motor vehicle on the Prairie Village grounds, with one exception. Young driver’s training will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday of the Jamboree. The completion of this training allows young persons under 16 to drive tractors during the Jamboree parades and tractor pulls ONLY. The training location is just south of the Electric Museum on the east end of machinery row.
SHUTTLE BUSES. There will be free shuttle bus service from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m between Madison and Prairie Village on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Jamboree. The Madison School District is providing the buses and drivers, at no cost to the school district, and the pick up point will be the Gehl parking lot on the Hyland Avenue bypass on the southwest edge of Madison. There will be two continouus buses on Friday, four on Saturday, and three on Sunday. The buses will travel on Territorial Road and come into the village by way of our south gate, which is an exit gate for other traffic. The shuttle buses will be the only vehicles allowed to enter through the south exit gate. The shuttle buses (standard school buses) are not equipped to load wheel chairs or other devices designed to assist disabled persons.
VEHICLE TRAFFIC. During the Jamboree, the highest density of vehicle traffic on SD Hwy 34 coming into the Prairie Village parking area will likely be between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the Jamboree.
During the Jamboree all ATVs are strictly prohibited, as are dirt bikes and motor scooters. Medical scooters are ok. Golf carts and side by sides are allowed with a registration fee of $10. Golf cart rental is available through NB Golf Carts in Hendricks, MN. For reservations contact them at 507-275-3564. Rented golf carts are required to be turned back in by 8:00 p.m. daily.

Brad Hodne with his chain saw art will be with us again at the Jamboree. For the past several years he has generously donated a portion of his Jamboree sales to Prairie Village.
On Saturday and Sunday of the Jamboree, the Dakota Territory Rangers (DTR) Cowboy Fast Draw Club will be providing the opportunity to learn about and participate in the sport of fast draw.
