We are located on highway 34, 2 miles west of Madison SD, near Lake Herman Go to Google Maps for Directions

Camping is available from April through September at Prairie Village.
We have 234 sites with electricity, two shower houses and an RV dump station on the grounds. New for 2013, free Wifi access for campers (best signal just north of the carousel).

Other than the 4th of July weekend and the Steam Threshing Jamboree, reservations are not normally required due to our large number of camp sites. However, if you would like to camp adjacent to other group camping units let us know and we will reserve group spots for you. During operating hours, stop in at the gift shop to register and pay for camping. After hours there is a convenient self-check in station located near the gift shop. General camping throughout the season and at the Jamboree:
Electrical sites $17.00 + .94 tax – $17.94 nightly
Non-electrical sites (dry lot) $14.00 + .77 tax – $14.77 nightly. Paid camping fees include free admission to Prairie Village, except for special events where gate fees are in effect.
Jamboree exhibitor and volunteer camping:
Electrical sites $9.00 + .50 tax – $9.50 nightly
Non-electrical (dry lot) $7.00 + .39 tax – $7.39 nightly

Please Note:
All electrical camp sites for the 51st Annual Steam Threshing Jamboree August 23-25, 2013 are already reserved but contact us to be placed on the standby list. We accommodate all that come if desire to camp without electricity (dry lot). No reservations are required and generators are welcome.
